What’s a Table?

Crowded Table partners local churches with foster families and caseworkers in Davidson County. These partnerships are called “Tables”. A table consists of 10 to 20 individuals or families in a congregation that commit to provide 2 years of practical support to a local foster family and their caseworker. Table support services vary depending on the needs and circumstances of each foster family. In addition to prayer, the following methods of support are always considered.

  • Meals (1 or 2 times a week)

  • Laundry and Lawn Car

  • Grocery pickup and delivery

  • Babysitting services

  • Transportation

  • Caseworker encouragement

  • Connecting local resources and services

When foster families are supported, they are 90% more likely to continue fostering. The support services provided by Crowded Table teams drastically increases the sustainability and retention of foster families and caseworkers.
